Environmental Policy

Astragraphia is committed to carrying out environmentally friendly business activities as an effort to preserve the environment. In addition to adopting and implementing the ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System, the company uses environmentally-friendly materials and integrated waste management as continuous effort to minimize the negative impact of the business on the environment. Astragraphia also helps prevent environmental pollution and damage through plans, control, maintenance, supervision and law enforcement in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 32 of 2009 on the Protection and Management of the Environment. Due diligence as well as regular internal and external audits are carried out to ensure suitable implementation.

Use of Environmentally-Friendly Materials and Energy

FUJIFILM Business Innovation (formerly Fuji Xerox), as Astragraphia’s main principal, offers products that use environmentally-friendly raw materials. To address global community challenges, such as global warming and depleting resources, FUJIFILM Business Innovation is involved in the research and development of biomass plastics using cellulosed derived from wood (which reduces CO2 emissions). This material has been proven to be more environmentally-friendly, as well as strong and durable. This material is used in parts of FUJIFILM Business Innovation’s devices. Aside from more environmentally-friendly materials, FUJIFILM Business Innovation’s devices use “Smart Energy Management” for certain power usages. Power consumption and CO2 emissions can be significantly reduced as this technology supplies power only for a specific function used. In addition, all toner (consumables) used in FUJIFILM Business Innovation devices already use SUPER EA-ECO Toner, which can reduce the impact of environmental damage and CO2 emissions. This is because the printed results can be obtained at a temperature 10% lower than an ordinary toner while still being able to provide good print quality results.

Enterprise Waste Treatment System

Astragraphia treats the waste generated by the use of its devices by the customers. Waste such as consumables (toner), plastic packaging, and damaged spare parts are repaired, reused or recycled at Astragraphia’s Eco Facility (EFA). In the event that the waste cannot be repaired, reused, or recycled, Astragraphia ensures that the waste is processed by partner companies that are capable to manage hazardous and toxic waste (B3). These companies are certified by the ISO 14001:2015 standards. Astragraphia remains consistent in its commitment to caring for the environment through initiatives aimed at minimizing any negative impacts on the environment.

Environmental Complaints Mechanism

In general, products marketed by Astragraphia are environmentally-friendly. In addition, Astragraphia has a comprehensive program to ensure the appropriate management of waste resulting from customers’ use of its products. Astragraphia is ready to receive any customer grievances in relation to its products and services. Environmental complaints from customers or the public at large are handled by the Customer Service & Support and Corporate Communications & CSR Department.
